We would like to introduce you to three gentlemen from a while ago. We have decided to formulate each of our scents to a specific personality, just to keep things a bit more personal.


John Muir

(Sandalwood & Black Pepper)

A fragrance that releases a faintly woody, balsamic note with a complex warm, spicey smell. It has a calming and sedative qualities.


BIRTHDAY: April 21, 1838


DEATH DATE: Dec 24, 1914  (age 76)

ABOUT: Naturalist and conservationist who explored Yosemite and is known as the "Father of the National Park." He was an advocate for Western forests and he was a strong proponent of the National park bill, which was passed by congress in 1890 and established Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks.

BEFORE FAME: He emigrated to the US because his father thought the Church of Scotland was not strict enough in its faith and practice.

TRIVIA: His letters, essays, and books telling of his adventures in nature, especially in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California, have been read by millions and greatly inspired President Roosevelt, who in turn became one of the first Presidents to make conservation a national issue.

FAMILY LIFE: He married Louisa Wanda Strentzel in 1880, and together they had two daughters.

ASSOCIATED WITH: He went to Yosemite with President Theodore Roosevelt.




Auguste Rodin

(Pine Needle & Lemongrass)

This strong balsamic – pine scent combines with light and fresh lemon-type fragrance making for a light yet solid scent. Energizing, revitalizing, fresh and uplifting.


BIRTHDAY: November 12, 1840


DEATH DATE: Nov 17, 1917  (age 77)

ABOUT: Brilliant French sculptor who created works such as The Thinker, The Kiss, and The Burghers of Calais. He was known for his unique ability to mold clay.

BEFORE FAME: Rodin began drawing at age 10 and was mostly self-taught until he attended the Petite Ecole, where his teacher Horace Lecoq de Boisbaudran proved to be a major influence on his life.

TRIVIA: He is often considered the originator of modern sculpture, although he considered himself traditional.

FAMILY LIFE: He married Rose Beuret in 1917.

ASSOCIATED WITH: While studying art, he was extremely captivated by the artwork of Michelangelo Buonarroti.




Ferdinand von Zepelin

(Cedar Wood & Tea tree)

This scent has a camphoraceous overtone combined with a blend of sweet Cedarwood undertones and the warm bitter-burnt fragrance of the Teatree. Spicy, rich and refreshing.


BIRTHDAY: July 8, 1838


DEATH DATE: Mar 8, 1917  (age 78)

ABOUT: German entrepreneur and military veteran who founded the famed Zeppelin aircraft company. He was previously a general in the German army and served as an official observer for the Union Army during the U.S. Civil War.

BEFORE FAME: He began attending military school at Ludwigsburg in 1855 and was promoted to Lieutenant in 1858.

TRIVIA: The name of the British classic rock band Led Zeppelin was inspired by his aircraft.

FAMILY LIFE: He married Isabella Freiin von Wolff in August 1869. They had a daughter named Helene.

ASSOCIATED WITH: One of his employees was future Dornier GmbH founder Claudius Dornier.
